Wearing the right outfit to school: Fitting in with the “In-crowd”
GIRLS, having some trouble finding a fabulous outfit for your school? Well I’m here to help you! First things first, don’t worry about what all the “cool kids” are wearing because that will bring your self-esteem down. Stay confident. As for the outfit, it can be a tricky thing to find the PERFECT one, but have faith little ladies. The main idea is to wear an outfit that makes you feel comfortable. Because you don’t want to go arrive on the first day of school wearing a crop top and a mini skirt….1. That is not appropriate for a 17 year old to be wearing (my parents would have locked me in my room until I changed into something more “suitable and of their liking”) and 2. The popular girls will probably wearing the same exact outfit. So we want to go with something a little less revealing and more on the unique side of fashion but with a little bit of edge. We will let you in on a little secret: these butt lifting acid washed jeans and butt lifting distressed plus size jeans- now that's subtle style.
The right outfit isn’t just necessary, it’s MANDATORY for fitting in at school. Yes, there are times where you will look like a total nerd but that’s all part of the “fitting in-process”. Here’s my advice: DON’T TRY SO HARD. You don’t have to wear clothes that are revealing just to keep up with the “in-crowd”. Be yourself and dress the way you want, but with style. Keeping up with the latest and newest trends in fashion is keen for fitting in as well, you want to wow the other girls with your incredible knowledge on style, the best part of it all…you get to make some new friends. That’s not all…..the boys will love what you are wearing because they find it cute that a girl can dress like a rock-star, especially if it’s a girl that they really really like. HUGE BONUS!
If you really want to make their heads turn or get your crushes attention, wear a VINTAGE black leather jacket, a sleeveless blouse and a pair of your favorite jeggings. I would go with a pair of black stretchy jeggings, or these acid washed high waist jeggings because they are unique and look really good with some black flats! If the weather is too hot go with a high-low acid washed shirt to add a twist on the classic white shirt, or a classic pink plaid flannel shirt with a pop of color that is the perfect combination of casual and effortless chic. Pair them with these frayed high rise shorts or a denim skirt with frayed hem and you're good to go.
It’s not a hard job to fit in, you just have to know your “fashion stuff” and use it to your ability. Wear the right clothes then you’ll be the talk of the whole school with your stylish duds!
Stay fashionable girls.
